While the brand was founded in the United States, its production is deeply rooted in Thailand where the coconuts are harvested and processed. In 2022, C2O Pure Coconut Water was acquired by Novamex, a leading producer of authentic Mexican soda brands. This acquisition integrated C2O into a larger portfolio focused on natural and culturally authentic beverages. Novamex currently manages the distribution and ultimate ownership of the brand from its headquarters in El Paso, Texas.
