BioWare video games

BioWare is a legendary video game development studio originally established in Edmonton, Canada. Founded by medical doctors Ray Muzyka, Greg Zeschuk, and Augustine Yip, the studio became a powerhouse in the gaming industry, known for creating critically acclaimed role-playing games such as Baldur's Gate, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect, and Dragon Age.

While the intellectual property and core development remain rooted in its primary Canadian and American studios, the manufacturing of physical game copies, including discs and packaging, occurs across multiple global locations depending on the region of sale. In 2007, BioWare was acquired by Electronic Arts (EA), which now serves as the ultimate parent company.
