Schous Lite gluten-free beer

Schous is one of Norway's most historic beer brands, tracing its origins back to the Schous Brewery (Schous Bryggeri), which was established in Oslo in 1821 by Christian Julius Schou. For over 150 years, Schou's was a cornerstone of the Norwegian brewing industry until the brewery was eventually closed in 1981.

Following the closure of the original brewery, the brand name was preserved. Today, Schous products, including modern variations like Schous Lite (a gluten-free, low-calorie pilsner), are produced and marketed by Ringnes, Norway's largest brewery group. Ringnes itself is a subsidiary of the Danish multinational Carlsberg Group, which manages the brand's distribution and production within Norway, maintaining the historical legacy of the Schous name in the contemporary market.
