Interestingly, AUARA's business model involves investing 100% of its dividends into social projects related to water accessibility.

In 2022, the Spanish brewing giant Corporación Hijos de Rivera (best known for the Estrella Galicia brand) acquired a majority stake in AUARA. This partnership was formed to strengthen the brand's social impact and distribution capabilities while maintaining its status as a social enterprise. The water is bottled in Spain, specifically at the San Millán source in La Rioja, and uses 100% recycled plastic (rPET) for its packaging.
