Lutti is a leading confectionery brand with deep roots in Northern France and Belgium. Known for its wide array of gummy and sour candies, Lutti has become a staple in the European confectionery market, particularly famous for its 'fizzy' textures and iconic shapes.
The brand was originally founded in 1889 by the Lamy family in Mouscron, Belgium, under the name Lamy, eventually merging and evolving into the Lutti brand we know today. Most of its production remains localized at its historic manufacturing site in Bondues, France, which serves markets across Europe.
In terms of corporate ownership, Lutti was acquired by the German confectionery giant Katjes International in 2018. This acquisition integrated Lutti into one of Europe's largest candy portfolios, focusing on natural ingredients and traditional manufacturing techniques. As of 2024 and beyond, Katjes International remains the ultimate owner, ensuring the brand maintains its French-Belgian heritage while benefiting from international distribution networks.
