3M DBI-SALA Nano-Lok Self-Retracting Lifeline

The DBI-SALA Nano-Lok is a high-performance self-retracting lifeline (SRL) designed for industrial fall protection. The brand DBI-SALA originated from the merger of DBI (DB Industries) and SALA, two pioneering companies in the safety equipment industry based in the United States and Sweden, respectively.

Today, the brand is a core part of 3M's Fall Protection business unit. 3M, a global science and manufacturing powerhouse headquartered in Saint Paul, Minnesota, acquired Capital Safety (the former owner of DBI-SALA) in 2015 to expand its personal protective equipment (PPE) portfolio. While development and primary manufacturing often occur in the United States to meet strict ANSI and OSHA standards, components and final assembly may take place in various 3M facilities worldwide to serve international markets.
