Sinalco is a historic German beverage brand, famously recognized as the oldest soft drink brand in continental Europe. It was created in 1902 by the scientist Friedrich Eduard Bilz and industrialist Franz Hartmann, originally under the name Bilz-Brause before being rebranded to Sinalco in 1905. The name is derived from the Latin phrase 'sine alcohole', meaning 'without alcohol.

Today, the brand operates globally primarily through a franchising system. While it remains a staple in Germany, it is produced in numerous countries worldwide through local bottling partners. Since 1994, the trademark has been owned by the Hövelmann family, specifically through the beverage group Getränke-Gruppe Hövelmann based in Duisburg, Germany. This ownership ensured the brand returned to its German roots after various previous corporate associations.
