Royal Albert Old Country Roses Teacup and Saucer Set

Royal Albert's 'Old Country Roses' is one of the world's most popular and recognizable bone china patterns. Launched in 1962, the design was inspired by an English country garden in full bloom and was created by Harold Holdcroft. For decades, the product was manufactured in the United Kingdom, specifically in Stoke-on-Trent, the heart of the British pottery industry.

In the early 21st century, production for most Royal Albert lines, including Old Country Roses, was shifted from England to Indonesia to reduce manufacturing costs. While the brand retains its British heritage and design oversight, contemporary pieces are primarily made in Southeast Asia. The brand is currently part of the Fiskars Group portfolio, following a series of corporate acquisitions involving Royal Doulton and Waterford Wedgwood.
