Quorn Picnic Eggs

Quorn is a pioneering British brand that transformed the meat-alternative market with its unique mycoprotein ingredient. Originally developed in the 1960s to address potential global food shortages, the brand was a joint venture between Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) and Lord Rank's company, RHM. Today, it is a staple in the UK's vegetarian and vegan food sectors, known for its high-protein, meat-free alternatives.

While the brand has its roots deeply embedded in British industrial history, its ownership has transitioned through several major global firms. Since 2015, Quorn has been owned by the Philippines-based food giant Monde Nissin. Despite the international ownership, the majority of Quorn's production continues to take place in the United Kingdom, specifically at its major manufacturing facility in Billingham, North Yorkshire, where the fermentation of mycoprotein occurs.
