Pauwel Kwak is a renowned Belgian amber ale with a heritage dating back to 1791. It was originally brewed by Pauwel Kwak, who operated the 'De Hoorn' inn in Dendermonde, Belgium. The beer is famously recognized for its unique long glass held in a wooden stand, which was historically designed for coachmen who were not allowed to leave their horses to enter an inn, allowing them to hang the glass from the coach.

Today, the brand is produced in Buggenhout, Belgium, maintaining its traditional brewing methods and distinctive flavor profile characterized by notes of caramel and spices. Following the acquisition of Brouwerij Bosteels in 2016, the brand came under the management of Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev), the largest brewing group globally. This ownership ensures that while the product's Belgian roots and traditional manufacturing remain intact, it benefits from a worldwide distribution network.
