Today, ColaCao is owned by Idilia Foods, a Spanish multinational food group headquartered in Barcelona. Idilia Foods was formed following the split of the Nutrexpa group into two independent entities, with Idilia retaining the cocoa and chocolate brands. Most production for the Spanish market continues to take place within Spain, maintaining the brand's strong local heritage and identity as a staple of Spanish breakfast and snacking culture.
