The brand was originally developed by Agrokor, a major food and retail conglomerate based in Zagreb, Croatia. Following the financial restructuring of Agrokor in 2019, ownership of the brand and its parent companies was transferred to the Fortenova Group. Today, Fortenova Group remains the ultimate owner of the brand. Manufacturing is typically handled by regional third-party partners; for instance, many K Plus potato chip varieties are produced by Kanaan d.o.o. in Donji Miholjac, Croatia, while other snacks may be produced by specialists like Fun&Fit in Serbia.
