Manufacturing for Blokker's electronic appliances is primarily outsourced to facilities in China to ensure competitive pricing while meeting European quality standards. In terms of ownership, the brand has undergone significant changes; originally family-owned for over a century, it was sold in 2019 to Mirage Retail Group, led by Michiel Witteveen. As of late 2024, the Blokker retail chain faced bankruptcy, leading to a restructuring of its assets under administrators and a transition in its ultimate corporate management as part of the Mirage Retail Group's wider liquidation and asset sale processes.
