Gallo Vinagre Balsâmico de Modena

Gallo is an iconic Portuguese brand founded in 1919 by Victor Guedes in Abrantes, Portugal. While the brand is famously known for its premium olive oils, it has expanded its portfolio to include specialized vinegars, sauces, and olives.

The Gallo Balsamic Vinegar of Modena is specifically produced in Italy to adhere to the strict Protected Geographical Indication (PGI/IGP) regulations, which mandate that authentic balsamic vinegar of Modena must be produced and matured within the Modena or Reggio Emilia regions using traditional methods and specific grape varieties.

Today, the Gallo brand is managed by Gallo Worldwide, a joint venture between the British-Dutch multinational Unilever and the Portuguese group Jerónimo Martins. This partnership, established around 2009, combines local heritage with global distribution expertise, making Gallo the top Portuguese olive oil brand globally.
