Race Face is a legendary mountain bike brand that originated in the early 1990s as a spin-off from the Rocky Mountain Bicycles company in British Columbia, Canada. Founded by a group of passionate riders who were dissatisfied with the durability of existing bike parts on the market, the brand quickly became a staple of the 'North Shore' riding scene in Vancouver, known for its extreme terrain and demanding conditions.

Today, Race Face operates as part of the Fox Factory family, following its acquisition in late 2014. While the brand maintains its creative and engineering roots in Burnaby, BC, its manufacturing is distributed globally. High-end carbon fiber components, such as the Next SL cranksets, have historically been handmade in their Canadian facility to protect intellectual property and ensure quality, while other aluminum components and higher-volume products are manufactured in specialized facilities in Taiwan to remain competitive in the global market.
