Grundig is a storied name in European electronics, tracing its roots back to 1945 in Fürth, Germany. Founded by Max Grundig, the company initially gained fame for its radios and played a pivotal role in the post-war German economic miracle. Over the decades, it expanded its portfolio to include televisions, audio equipment, and home appliances, becoming one of Europe's leading consumer electronics brands.

Following financial challenges and shifting market dynamics in the early 2000s, the brand underwent significant ownership changes. Today, Grundig is part of the Turkish conglomerate Koç Holding. It is managed under the subsidiary Arçelik A.Ş., a global leader in home appliances. While the brand retains its German engineering heritage and has a significant presence in Nuremberg for design and marketing, its products are manufactured in several locations worldwide, including facilities in Turkey, to serve over 65 countries.
