Isostar is a pioneering European sports nutrition brand established in 1977 in Switzerland by Wander AG. It gained fame for launching the first isotonic sports drink specifically designed to meet the nutritional needs of athletes. The brand focuses on hydration, energy delivery, and recovery, making it a staple in the endurance sports community across Europe.

Over the decades, ownership of the brand has transitioned through major international health and food groups. In 2003, it was acquired by the French company Nutrition & Santé. Later, in 2009, Nutrition & Santé was acquired by the Japanese multinational Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Today, Isostar operates under the Otsuka umbrella, benefiting from global pharmaceutical expertise to maintain its scientific formulations. While manufacturing is rooted in Switzerland and France, the products are distributed globally through various local subsidiaries and partners.
