Nasonex Nasal Spray

Nasonex is a well-known corticosteroid nasal spray containing mometasone furoate, used for the treatment of allergy symptoms. The brand was originally developed and brought to market by the American pharmaceutical company Schering-Plough Corporation in the late 1990s. Following a major merger in 2009, the brand became part of the Merck & Co. (known as MSD outside the US and Canada) portfolio.

In recent years, as part of a strategic corporate spinoff in 2021, the Nasonex brand was moved to Organon, a global healthcare company focused on women's health and established brands. While Organon is the ultimate owner, production remains globalized with significant manufacturing facilities located in Heist-op-den-Berg, Belgium, which serves as a major hub for supplying the European market, including Sweden. The product is also manufactured in other locations to meet regional demand and regulatory requirements.
