Moser Roth is a premium German chocolate brand with a rich history dating back to 1841. Originally founded by Wilhelm Roth Jr. in Stuttgart, the brand eventually merged with E.O. Moser & Cie in 1896 to form the Moser-Roth name we recognize today. Throughout the 20th century, the brand faced significant upheaval, including the destruction of its factory during World War II, but was eventually revived.
Today, the brand is owned by the German confectionery giant August Storck KG, the same company behind famous treats like Werther's Original and Merci. Since 2007, Moser Roth has been produced exclusively for the supermarket chain Aldi. The chocolate is manufactured in Storck's facilities in Germany, specifically at the Moser-Roth GmbH factory in Berlin, ensuring a consistent standard of German confectionery craftsmanship.
