Kingston DataTraveler is a prominent line of USB flash drives produced by Kingston Technology Corporation. The brand was established in the early 1990s as part of Kingston's expansion into portable storage solutions.

Manufacturing for DataTraveler drives occurs globally to meet international demand. Kingston operates major manufacturing and logistics facilities in the United States, Taiwan, and China, with its Shanghai facility being one of the largest memory module plants in the world.

Ownership of the brand has remained largely stable since its founding in 1987 by John Tu and David Sun in California. While SoftBank Corporation of Japan briefly held an 80% stake in the company between 1996 and 1999, the founders ultimately bought back the shares and restored Kingston to its status as a privately held, founder-controlled American company. As of 2026, Kingston Technology remains one of the world's largest independent producers of memory and flash storage products.
