Walkers is one of the most iconic British snack brands, famously founded in 1948 by Henry Walker in Leicester, England. Originally a butcher, Walker turned to frying potato slices when meat rationing after World War II made his primary business difficult. The brand quickly became a household name across the UK, known for its distinctive logo and wide range of flavours.

In 1989, Walkers was acquired by PepsiCo, the American multinational food and beverage corporation. Despite the change in ownership, the brand maintains its British identity, sourcing the majority of its potatoes from British farms and operating the world's largest crisp factory in Leicester. Today, it remains the dominant leader in the UK crisp market under PepsiCo's Frito-Lay division.
