Sanex is a well-established personal care brand that focuses on skin health and dermatological care. The brand was originally launched in 1984 by the Sara Lee Corporation, with its first major presence in the Spanish market where it became a pioneer in soap-free body cleansers. Over the decades, the brand's ownership has transitioned through major global conglomerates. In 2009, Unilever acquired the brand as part of a larger deal with Sara Lee, but due to anti-trust regulations from the European Commission, Unilever was required to divest the brand. Consequently, in 2011, Sanex was sold to the American multinational Colgate-Palmolive.

Today, Sanex operates as a key part of Colgate-Palmolive's personal care portfolio in Europe and South Africa. While the brand has global ownership, its production is largely focused within the European region to serve its primary markets. Specifically, many of its liquid soaps and shower gels, like the one shown, are manufactured in Italy. The brand remains dedicated to its original mission of maintaining healthy skin through scientifically backed formulas, including its recent innovations in prebiotic and postbiotic skin care complexes.
