Belkin is a globally recognized American manufacturer of consumer electronics and connectivity devices. Founded in 1983 by Chet Pipkin in a Hawthorne, California garage, the brand initially specialized in cables and peripherals for the burgeoning personal computer market. Over the decades, it expanded its portfolio to include wireless chargers, power banks, network routers, and smart home technology.

Today, Belkin operates as a major subsidiary within the global tech ecosystem. While its research, development, and design processes remain centered in Southern California, its manufacturing is highly globalized. Production is carried out across multiple countries including China and Vietnam to leverage large-scale electronics manufacturing infrastructure.

In 2018, Belkin was acquired by Foxconn Interconnect Technology (FIT), a division of the Taiwanese multinational Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd. (commonly known as Foxconn). Under this ownership, Belkin continues to operate with its own brand identity, benefiting from the massive supply chain and production capabilities of its ultimate parent company in Taiwan.
