Mammen Hytteost

Mammen Hytteost is a high-protein cottage cheese produced by the family-owned Danish dairy company, Mammen Mejerierne A/S. The brand was established in 1953 in the village of Mammen, Denmark, where it continues to operate its headquarters today.

The product is manufactured exclusively in Denmark using milk sourced from local Danish farms. Mammen Mejerierne is notably the only dairy company that produces cottage cheese from 100% Danish milk within Denmark. The company is currently owned and managed by the second and third generations of the Staunsbæk family, specifically Lars and Peter Staunsbæk. Over the decades, it has grown to become one of Denmark's largest private dairies, distributing its products across major supermarket chains domestically and exporting to approximately 60 countries globally.
