Viro security locks

Viro is a historic Italian brand specializing in high-security systems, including padlocks, safes, and specialized locks for doors and motorcycles. Founded in 1942 by Vincenzo Rossetti—whose initials form the brand name—the company established its headquarters in Zola Predosa, near Bologna, Italy. For decades, it was a family-owned enterprise known for mechanical excellence, introducing iconic products like the Panzer armored padlock.

In March 2023, Viro S.p.A. was acquired by DOM Security, a division of the French industrial conglomerate Groupe SFPI (Safety for People and Industry). This acquisition integrated Viro into a large European security network, while maintaining its core manufacturing operations in Italy. While its premium lines are manufactured in Italy, the brand also operates international units, such as Viro Locks Ltd in Kenya, to serve specific regional markets.
