Bakoma Kefir Naturalny

Bakoma Kefir Naturalny is a traditional fermented dairy beverage produced by one of Poland's most recognizable dairy companies. The product is manufactured at Bakoma's production plant in Elżbietów, Poland, utilizing locally sourced Polish milk. Known for its 'simple composition' (prosty skład), the kefir consists of just two ingredients: milk and live bacterial cultures.

Bakoma was founded in 1989 by Zbigniew Komorowski and his wife Barbara, alongside Edward Mazur. The name itself is an acronym derived from the founders' names (BA-rbara, KO-morowska, MA-zur). Although the French multinational Danone held a significant stake in the company for several years, Bakoma returned to being a 100% Polish-owned private entity in 2007. Today, it operates as a family-owned business under the BZK Group, which also includes other major Polish agricultural and food processing entities like Polskie Młyny and Bioagra.
