SodaStream is a world-renowned brand specializing in home carbonation systems. Originally founded in 1903 in England by Guy Hugh Gilbey as a subsidiary of the London-based gin distillers W & A Gilbey Ltd, the company has a long history of innovation in the beverage industry. For much of the 20th century, it was a niche product for the upper class in the UK before becoming a household name globally.

In 1998, the brand underwent a significant transformation when it merged with the Israeli company Soda-Club, founded by Peter Wiseburgh. This merger shifted the company's operational heart to Israel. Today, SodaStream's primary manufacturing facility is located in the Idan HaNegev Industrial Park in Israel, though it also maintains logistics and manufacturing presence in the Netherlands and Germany.

In August 2018, SodaStream was acquired by the American multinational PepsiCo for $3.2 billion. This acquisition was part of PepsiCo's strategic shift toward healthier and more environmentally sustainable beverage options. Under PepsiCo's ownership, SodaStream continues to operate as an independent unit headquartered in Kfar Saba, Israel, focusing on reducing single-use plastic waste through its refillable CO2 cylinders and flavor concentrates.
