Hénaff is an iconic French food brand, deeply rooted in the Brittany region. Founded in 1907 by Jean Hénaff in Pouldreuzic, the company originally began as a vegetable cannery. In 1914, to combat the seasonality of vegetable production, Jean Hénaff developed a unique recipe for pork pâté using the whole pig, including premium cuts like ham and tenderloin, which was revolutionary at the time.

The product is famously packaged in its distinctive blue and yellow tin, a design that has seen very few changes over its century-long history. Manufacturing remains concentrated in Pouldreuzic, France, where the company operates its own integrated slaughterhouse to maintain strict quality control.

Today, Hénaff remains a fiercely independent family-owned business, currently managed by the fourth generation of the Hénaff family under Loïc Hénaff. The company is recognized as an 'Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant' (Living Heritage Company), a mark of recognition by the French state for its excellence in traditional craftsmanship and industrial skills.
