Pringles is an iconic American brand of stackable potato-based chips, first introduced by Procter & Gamble (P&G) in 1968. Developed by chemist Fredric Baur, the product was designed to solve common consumer complaints about broken and greasy chips, leading to the invention of its famous hyperbolic paraboloid shape and tubular canister.

Originally owned by P&G, the brand was sold to Kellogg Company (now Kellanova) in 2012 for $2.695 billion. In a major industry shift in late 2024, Mars, Inc. reached an agreement to acquire Kellanova, bringing Pringles under the ownership of one of the world's largest private food companies by 2025/2026.

While the brand has its roots in the United States, Pringles are manufactured globally to meet international demand. For the European market, production is primarily centered in Mechelen, Belgium, and Kutno, Poland. Other global facilities are located in the United States, Malaysia, and China.
