Batts Original Tomato Ketchup

Batts Original Tomato Ketchup is a private-label condiment exclusively sold by the international discount retailer Lidl. The product is designed to offer a budget-friendly alternative to major global brands like Heinz, often featuring similar 'top-down' squeezy bottle packaging. The recipe typically focuses on a sweet and tangy profile achieved through a blend of tomato puree, sugar, spirit vinegar, and various seasonings.

While the Batts brand is fundamentally tied to Lidl's operations in the United Kingdom and Ireland, its production is managed through the retailer's extensive European supply chain. Manufacturing often occurs in Germany or other European countries where Lidl’s sister company, Schwarz Produktion, operates large-scale facilities tailored for private-label goods. Ownership remains under the Schwarz Group, ensuring that the product maintains a consistent quality standard while being distributed across thousands of Lidl stores worldwide.
