Mack Brewery beers and beverages

Mack Brewery (Macks Ølbryggeri AS) is a historic Norwegian beverage producer widely recognized for its long-standing claim as the world's northernmost brewery. Founded in 1877 by Ludwig Markus Mack in Tromsø, the company was established with the social goal of providing lower-alcohol alternatives to spirits, which were a significant social issue in the region at the time. Over nearly 150 years, it has become one of Norway's most iconic brands, particularly dominant in the northern regions.

While its historical roots and administrative headquarters remain in the Arctic city of Tromsø, the primary manufacturing facilities were moved in 2012 to Nordkjosbotn in Balsfjord Municipality to modernize production. The brand produces a wide portfolio including its signature 'Isbjørn' (Polar Bear) pilsner, Arctic Beer, and various craft selections from its microbrewery. Despite the industrial scale of its modern operations, Mack remains an independent, family-owned company, currently led and owned by the descendants of its founder, Ludwig Mack.
