Karen Volf is a prestigious Danish brand founded in 1890 by Karen Volf, who became a Purveyor to the Royal Danish Court. The brand is deeply rooted in Danish baking traditions, particularly known for its high-quality biscuits, cakes, and crackers. These specific Vaniljekranse (vanilla wreaths) are a staple of Danish holiday confectionery, baked with butter and real vanilla.

Today, the brand is owned by Bisca A/S, the leading manufacturer of biscuits in the Nordic region. In 2006, Bisca was acquired by the Norwegian investment group Scandza, which remains the ultimate owner. Despite the international ownership, the production remains centralized in Stege on the island of Møn, Denmark, ensuring the heritage and quality standards are maintained.
