Sun dishwasher detergent

Sun is one of the most recognized brands in the global dishwashing market, originally developed by the British-Dutch multinational Unilever. Since its inception, Sun has led innovation in automatic dishwashing detergents, becoming a staple in European households for its effective cleaning formulas.

In early 2024, Unilever finalized the sale of several of its home care brands in certain regions, including the Sun brand in Europe, to Yellow Wood Partners. Yellow Wood Partners subsequently established a standalone company named Elida Beauty to manage these brands. Manufacturing continues to occur in various locations across Europe to serve different regional markets, maintaining the specialized formulas that the brand is known for.

Currently, Sun is part of the Elida Beauty portfolio, which operates as an independent company under the private equity firm Yellow Wood Partners. This transition marks a shift from a broad consumer goods conglomerate to a more specialized beauty and personal care focus under its new ownership.
