HP, originally known as Hewlett-Packard, is one of the most iconic names in American computing history. Founded in a garage in Palo Alto, California, the company has grown into a global leader in personal systems, printers, and accessories.
HP products, including computer mice and keyboards, are manufactured through a vast global supply chain. While design and engineering are primarily centered in the United States, high-volume production is largely concentrated in China, with additional manufacturing facilities located throughout Southeast Asia and Mexico to serve international markets.
In 2015, the original Hewlett-Packard Company split into two separate entities: Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and HP Inc. The consumer-facing hardware business, including the mouse seen here, belongs to HP Inc., which remains headquartered in Palo Alto and continues to operate as an independent, publicly-traded multinational corporation.
