Over the decades, Alpro underwent several ownership changes, moving from Vandemoortele to Dean Foods (WhiteWave Foods) in 2009. In 2017, the global food giant Danone acquired WhiteWave Foods, officially bringing Alpro into its portfolio. Today, Danone manages Alpro as a key part of its 'Plant-Based' division, aiming to promote a flexitarian lifestyle across the globe.
