EBRO is a historic Spanish automotive brand that has recently been revived to lead the transition toward sustainable mobility. Originally established in 1954 by Motor Ibérica, the brand was famous for its robust trucks, tractors, and vans before the company was eventually absorbed by Nissan in the 1980s. After decades of dormancy, the brand was reborn in the 2020s through a project led by Spanish engineering firms and former Nissan executives.

The current manufacturing operation is centered in Barcelona, Spain, specifically utilizing the former Nissan Plant in the Zona Franca. In a landmark collaboration aimed at revitalizing European automotive production, EBRO entered into a joint venture with the Chinese automotive giant Chery. This partnership allows for the assembly of vehicles in Spain using advanced technology and platform sharing, positioning the brand as a key player in the European EV and hybrid market.
