Philips toasters are globally recognized kitchen appliances known for their durability and sleek design. The heritage of the brand dates back to 1891 in the Netherlands, where it began as a family-led lightbulb manufacturer. Over the decades, Philips expanded into a wide array of domestic appliances, becoming a household name across Europe and beyond.
Starting in 2021, a significant change occurred in the brand's structure. Philips sold its domestic appliances division, which includes toasters, coffee makers, and air fryers, to a global investment firm. While the products continue to carry the 'Philips' brand name under a long-term licensing agreement, the business operations and manufacturing decisions are now managed by a separate corporate entity dedicated specifically to home appliances. Manufacturing is largely centralized in large-scale facilities in China to serve the global market efficiently.
