Pure Blonde is a well-known Australian beer brand launched in 2004 by Carlton & United Breweries (CUB). It gained popularity as one of Australia’s first low-carbohydrate lagers, aiming at health-conscious consumers. The brand is deeply rooted in Australian brewing culture and is primarily manufactured in large-scale breweries across various Australian states to meet domestic demand.

The ownership history reflect significant consolidation in the global beverage industry. Originally part of Carlton & United Breweries under the Foster’s Group, it became part of Anheuser-Busch InBev after the latter acquired SABMiller. In 2020, the brand changed hands again when the Japanese beverage giant Asahi Group Holdings acquired Carlton & United Breweries from AB InBev, making Asahi the current ultimate owner. Asahi continues to manage the brand through its Australian subsidiary, maintaining its position as a staple in the premium lager segment.
