Phase Eight is an established British fashion brand renowned for its elegant occasion wear, day wear, and accessories. Founded in London by Patsy Seddon in 1979, the brand was initially created to offer stylish yet sophisticated clothing for women. Over the decades, it has grown from a single boutique in Wandsworth into a global fashion destination with hundreds of stores and concessions worldwide.
While the brand maintains its creative heritage and design studio in the United Kingdom, manufacturing is outsourced to various global hubs including China, India, Turkey, and Vietnam, common for high-street premium fashion labels. This allows the brand to maintain high design standards while managing diverse production scales for its international market.
Since 2015, Phase Eight has been under international ownership. It was acquired by the South African retail giant TFG (The Foschini Group), which also owns other notable UK brands such as Whistles and Hobbs. This partnership has facilitated the brand's further expansion into the Southern Hemisphere and across European markets, while the company remains headquartered in London to preserve its distinct British identity.
