Leitz is a renowned German brand synonymous with high-quality office stationery and equipment. The brand was originally established in 1871 by Louis Leitz, who is often credited with inventing the ring binder. Over the decades, Leitz became a staple of efficiency in German and international administration centers.
Today, the brand is no longer an independent German company. In 1998, it was acquired by the Swedish Esselte Group, which in turn was acquired in 2017 by the American global consumer and business products corporation, ACCO Brands. Despite its American ownership, Leitz maintains its German engineering roots, though manufacturing has shifted to a global supply chain with significant production occurring in China and various European facilities to serve international markets.
