Peperami is a popular brand of pork sausage snacks that first rose to prominence in the United Kingdom during the late 1970s and 1980s. Originally introduced by Safeway and later acquired by Unilever, the brand became famous for its aggressive and surreal marketing campaigns featuring the 'Animal' character. The product is primarily produced in Germany, specifically in an Ansbach-based facility that has handled its manufacturing for decades.

In 2014, as part of a strategic shift to focus on its core food categories, Unilever sold its meat snack business—including the Peperami and Bifi brands—to the American food giant Jack Link's. Since this acquisition, the brand has expanded its product range beyond the classic original stick to include beef varieties, chicken bites, and vegetarian alternatives, maintaining its position as a market leader in the shelf-stable meat snack category across Europe and the British Isles.
