Penny Market (Jumbo) Indo-Pacific Shrimps

This product consists of shelled and cooked Indo-Pacific shrimps (Parapenaeopsis stylifera) preserved in brine. It is a private label product specifically produced for the Italian branch of Penny Market S.r.l. While the brand is part of the extensive private label portfolio of Penny (owned by REWE Group), the production is outsourced to Heiploeg International B.V., a leading European shrimp processor.

The shrimps are harvested in the Western and Eastern Indian Ocean (FAO zones 51 and 57) and then processed and packaged in the Netherlands at Heiploeg's facility in Zoutkamp. The ownership traces back to the German REWE Group, one of Europe's largest retail and tourism co-operative groups, which manages the Penny discount supermarket chain across several European countries including Italy and Germany.
