Westin Hotels & Resorts is a globally recognized premium hotel brand known for its focus on wellness and luxury. The brand's history began in 1930 when hotel owners Severt W. Thurston and Frank Dupar of Yakima, Washington, formed Western Hotels. Over the decades, it evolved into a prestige brand, eventually becoming Westin Hotels in 1981.

Today, Westin is part of the Marriott International portfolio following the massive acquisition of Starwood Hotels & Resorts. While the brand originated in the United States, its properties and specialized amenities (such as the Heavenly Bed) are developed and manufactured in various locations worldwide to serve its international network of locations.
