Raspberry Pi Single Board Computer (in case)

The Raspberry Pi is a series of small single-board computers developed in the United Kingdom by the Raspberry Pi Foundation in association with Broadcom. Originally designed as a low-cost tool to promote the teaching of basic computer science in schools and developing countries, it has since become an iconic product for hobbyists, engineers, and industrial users worldwide.

While the Raspberry Pi Foundation is a UK charity, the commercial side of the operation is handled by Raspberry Pi Ltd. The majority of Raspberry Pi boards are manufactured at the Sony UK Technology Centre in Pencoed, Wales, ensuring high-quality production standards within the UK. However, some units and accessories are also manufactured in China to meet global demand.

Ownership remains with Raspberry Pi Ltd, which is the commercial subsidiary of the Raspberry Pi Foundation. Following a public offering in 2024, the company is now listed on the London Stock Exchange, though the original Foundation remains a major stakeholder and continues its educational mission.
