Langnese Honig is one of Germany’s most famous traditional brands, established in 1927 by Karl Rolf Lauenstein. Known for its iconic hexagonal jars, it has become a market leader in the honey segment. While the brand is quintessentially German in its heritage and quality control, the honey itself is sourced from premium apiaries worldwide, specifically Central America, South America, and Europe as indicated on the label.

The brand has remained under the ownership of the founding family interests through the parent company Mederer Group and subsequently Langnese Honig GmbH & Co. KG. It is important to note that while the 'Langnese' name is also used by Unilever for ice cream in Germany (featuring the 'Heartbrand' logo), the honey business is an entirely separate entity with distinct ownership. Today, the company continues to operate from its headquarters in Bargteheide near Hamburg, maintaining strict purity standards for its international blends.
