Tyrrells Hand-Cooked Crisps

Tyrrells was founded in 2002 by William Chase at Tyrrells Court Farm in Herefordshire, England. The brand revolutionized the premium snack market by focusing on hand-cooked potato and vegetable crisps made from locally sourced English potatoes like Lady Rosetta and Taurus varieties. The brand's signature 'Big Spinny Thing™' is used to remove excess oil for a crunchier texture.

Over the years, the brand transitioned from a farm-based operation to a global snack powerhouse. It was sold to Langholm Capital in 2008, then to Investcorp in 2013. In 2016, it was acquired by the American company Amplify Snack Brands. Most recently, the brand became part of the KP Snacks portfolio under the ownership of the Intersnack Group. Today, while it remains a quintessentially British brand with its roots in Herefordshire, it is part of one of Europe's largest savory snack conglomerates.
