Established in 1975 by Giancarlo Tanzi, the brand gained immediate acclaim for introducing the first trekking boots using Cordura fabric and the first GORE-TEX lined footwear, revolutionizing the comfort and durability standards for mountain sports.

While the brand's creative heart and technical development remain rooted in Nervesa della Battaglia, Italy, its production is distributed across several locations to meet global demand. Since 1998, Asolo has been owned by the Zanatta family, who previously founded the Trezeta brand. Under the leadership and ownership of the Zanatta family through their company, Asolo remains an independent, family-operated Italian business.
