THUN is a renowned Italian brand famous for its handcrafted ceramic collectibles, characterized by soft lines and warm, earthy tones. Founded in Bolzano in 1950 by Countess Lene Thun and Count Otmar Thun, the brand became a cultural icon in Italy starting with the creation of the 'Bozen Angel'. Historically, the production was rooted in the South Tyrol region of Italy; however, over the last few decades, the company has transitioned much of its initial manufacturing to partner factories in Asia (primarily Thailand and China) to maintain scale, while design, quality control, and specific finishing processes continue to be managed in Italy. The brand remains a family-owned legacy, currently under the management of the third generation of the Thun family.
