Trofolastin is a specialized skincare brand with deep roots in the Spanish pharmaceutical sector. Originally developed by Laboratorios Novartis (formerly Sandoz), it was designed to address skin elasticity issues, particularly during pregnancy and significant weight changes. The brand is well-known for featuring triterpenes of Centella asiatica to prevent and reduce stretch marks.
In 2013, the German multinational consumer goods company Beiersdorf, famous for brands like Nivea and Eucerin, acquired Trofolastin from Novartis. Today, production remains primarily based in Spain to maintain its original dermatological standards, benefiting from Beiersdorf's global distribution network and extensive research facilities. Beiersdorf remains the ultimate owner, managing the brand through its European subsidiaries.
