Buitoni is a long-standing food brand originally founded in Sansepolcro, Italy, in 1827 by Giulia Buitoni. For over a century, the brand became a global symbol of Italian pasta and pizza heritage. In 1988, the brand was acquired by the Swiss multinational Nestlé. While Buitoni remains a major name in frozen pizzas and pasta across Europe, Nestlé has recently adjusted its portfolio, including the sale of its North American frozen pasta business, but continues to own and manage the brand in most European markets through various regional subsidiaries.
